Produced by Byron Kennedy, the film was one of the best ever produced in Australia and inspired local producers and directors to set new milestones. The success of the first movie was so great that two sequels followed and the Framed Mad Max Posters follow the hero’s actions in Mad Max 2 and Mad Max Beyond ThunderDome. Exactly 20 years later, the fourth and final installment is scheduled for a theatrical release and it will go by the name of Mad Max Fury Road featuring Tom Hardy in the leading role.

Framed Mad Max Posters focus heavily on the vehicles used in the movie as well as the characters, as the cars were truly special and fitted in original manner. The critics couldn’t reach a consensus, with some praising the movie for its original concept, while others condemning the excessive violence. Despite its tiny budget, it grossed in excess of $100 million worldwide and for decades it had the best return on investment, before being surpassed by The Blair Witch Project.
