Framed Clockwork Orange Art
Inspired by the dystopian novel written by Anthony Burgess, the Clockwork Orange was directed and produced in 1971 by Stanley Kubrick. Action takes place in a near future, which is not identified with pinpoint a currency and raises several troubling questions about youth gangs and juvenile delinquency.
The movie abounds in shocking and memorable scenes, with FramedArt.com setting up an entire collection in its Framed Clockwork Orange Posters.
The Framed Clockwork Orange Posters focus mostly on the lead character Alex, played by Malcolm McDowell. The sociopath spends most of the time in the spotlight, but he’s frequently joined by his friends Georgie, Dim and Pete. After embarking on a crime spree that horrified the entire city, they are captured and Alex becomes the subject of an experiment aimed at rehabilitating him by using controversial and potentially dangerous psychological conditioning. The movie takes a slight departure from the original novel and the author was upset by the fact that it failed to include a redemptive chapter.
While the vast majority of the Framed Clockwork Orange Posters depict Alex during his transformation, some of the iconic scenes are also immortalized in artwork. The fans of this cult movie will find great pleasure in decorating their homes with such posters and can complement them with other prints dedicated to Stanley Kubrick’s movies. The Clockwork Orange is rich in classical music, but also tunes created by Wendy Carlos using the Moog synthesizer.
