Framed Art for the Cat Lover Prints
For many years, people have kept cats as pets and developed strong bonds with their animals. Framed art for the cat lover is well suited for these people. Cats are portrayed in a variety of artistic styles and used to symbolize many different things to the viewer. Some pieces in this style also emphasize the relationship that cat owners develop with their cats.
The most straightforward way of creating framed artwork for the cat lover is a simple, realistic portrayal of a scene featuring a cat. “Cat with Red Collar” by Soraya Chemaly does this very thing. Lowell Herrero’s “Sassy Lara” shows a white and orange cat poking her head through some horizontal blinds. This emphasizes the willfulness of cats, along with their frequent disregard for human possessions.
Other artists combine cats or associated imagery such as collars and food bowls to create inspirational framed wall art for the cat lover. For example, Andrea Haase’s “Home Sweet Home Cats” series uses silhouettes of cats to outline what appear to be quilts or blankets, combined with comforting messages such as, “Home is where the heart is,” or “Home sweet home.” Kouroush uses a play on the sound that cats often make in “Purrfect,” which features a cartoonish gray tabby on a tiled floor.
Sometimes artists can take an abstract or whimsical approach to their images of cats. “Intent” and “What Was That” by Dean Russo combine cats with the silkscreened graphics and bold colors of pop art. Julie Heffernan’s “Late Night Thriller” shows a cat sitting in a bed like a human would sit, while reading “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
