Josiane York Art

Josiane York grew up in Upstate New York in the Syracuse area but she was born in North Carolina. From a tender age, she was always fascinated by the articulateness of the human form in her surroundings. She then started translating that fascination onto any surface she could come across. Josiane admires the 20th century artists for opening the door to a new degree of intensity. She admired them a lot much as innovators and groundbreakers of their time for stepping outside the traditional realm of color. These artists include Diebenkorn, Manet, Warhol and Rivers. Josiane is inspired by the constant growth in our current age of fashion and art. She pursued an education in fine art because her dedicated high school art instructor seriously encouraged her after seeing the quality of her work. Today, she’s a proud holder of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from a university in America. She also studied in Amsterdam which expanded her perspective with the studies in arts, and this grounded her with much inspiration and insight. She’s very much excited by the rapidly changing technology and perceptions that continue to become available to advance the future of art. Aesthetic value and her keen sense of design are evident in her work. Josiane’s graceful hand lends itself without any effort to well-groomed and clean line work producing clearly visible images which demonstrate a true talent for balanced composition and visual placement while working in various mediums.
