After her graduation from University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Susan Winget’s hope was to start an art studio where she could pursue her dream career. In 1982, Susan started her own business by painting different types of art. Her first year was good, shipping over 9000 paintings just working in her garage. She partnered with Lang Graphics in 1987 to produce their first calendar. The idea of the calendar was to market Susan’s type of artwork, and it actually paid off, with more people buying her art. Driven by the need of ample and peaceful space to work, Susan built a studio behind her house. This made it easy for her to watch over the kids and still work on her paintings. In 1992, Susan decided to venture into the world of home decor after she forged a working relationship with one of her agents. She had her work embedded in all sorts of home decor products such as furniture, stationary, children’s books, and dinnerware. By the year 2002, Susan had to move into a larger studio as the business was now bigger and more people demanded for her artwork. She was lucky to get her work recognized by many clients such as Kohl’s, Sears, and May Co. These companies commissioned Susan to design several products for them. Through them, millions across the globe could see Susan’s creative works. She has developed a unique style that has appealed to manufacturers and art lovers alike. It’s for this reason that many of her works can be found in galleries and art dealerships. Canvas, laminated, and framed Susan Winget art are available for customers.
