Hilary Winfield Art

Hilary Winfield has been creating art for as long as he can remember. When he was in the 4th grade, he won his first art contest and received $10 as an award. He remembers feeling very delighted by the incident. He grew up in North Carolina, and this was a wonderful place for a creative person like him to grow up. During college, he loved painting landscapes, specifically the beach nature scenes, and the waterfalls and mountains. However, he felt compelled to pursue a business-oriented degree and being an artist wasn’t a career option. After college he traveled west across the U.S., visiting many national parks and some of the most beautiful places in the country. Winfield completely fell in love with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and in 2001 decided to relocate to Portland, Oregon where he soon began his corporate marketing career. In 2005, he started using acrylic paint on canvas to creating abstract art, and that’s how he got hooked to art. He says it was such a perfect form of expression and a perfect way to become energized. It was incredibly refreshing and fulfilling to enter the studio and lose himself in his art. In 2007, he posted his work for sale with an online art gallery and quickly sold his first two pieces within a week. This was one of the most amazing moments for him and he kept creating and selling his work. Today he produces art in a variety of finishing options including framed Hilary Winfield art. In 2011, he resigned from his corporate marketing job and became a full time artist.
