Spencer Williams Art

Spencer Williams has been painting now for close to 20 years. He has been striving for excellence and is therefore always on the lookout for new ideas and techniques t make his work better. Williams loved art from a young age and was lucky to receive support and encouragement from those who were around him. He could spend hours upon hours working on his artwork. Williams can’t remember the time when he didn’t want to be an artist. He always signs scriptures on his paintings as a witness to God’s mercy and grace which allows him to continue painting and to convey his inner feeling to his viewers through his artwork. Williams became more serious with his work when he was in high school. This made him to earn full tuition scholarship to Rocky Mountain School of Art from where he graduated with the two degrees that were being offered at the institution. After graduating he moved to Atlanta to start working. This is where he met and married RhuNelle. After awhile he moved from the commercial art world and started painting wildlife. It seemed very natural for him to paint wildlife because he has always been fascinated with the diversity and the beauty of the natural world. Similarly the inclusion of Christian images into his body of work should not come as a surprise to those who know him. To that end he makes no apology as he believes the Christian images will be a blessing to his viewers. Many discerning collectors like framed Spencer Williams art not only because of their beauty but also because of their quality.
