Gretchen Huber Warren (Born 1963) was born in Hartford, Connecticut. She holds a B.F.A. in Illustration from Syracuse University where he studied in the College of Visual and Performance Arts. After her graduation from college, she initially worked as free-lance illustrator for Reader’s Digest, and pursued an illustration career, creating book covers and for several companies. Seeing the quality of her work galleries approached her asking to show her work; she therefore decided to focus on fine art painting in the oil medium. Today, she’s known for desert landscape, illustration and genre. Since 1986 the artist has sold more than 750 works to corporations and collectors worldwide. Her work can be seen in many outlets especially as famed Gretchen Huber Warren art. In addition to gallery exhibitions and illustrations, Gretchen is currently licensing her images to several companies for various products. Her paintings in oil on canvas show the results of her ability to tell a story from her viewpoint. Her favorite challenge is to capture the feeling and image of a scene whether it is an old gas station or a bucket of flowers. She’s currently affiliated to The Copley Society of Art in Boston, Massachusetts and to Oil Painters of America. She has held one woman shows at The Wright Gallery, Cape Porpoise, The Smith-Klein Gallery, Boulder, Kennedy Studios, Brookline, Gallery on Chase Hill, Kennebunk, The Town and County Club, Hartford, and The Copley Society of Art, Boston. In the past 2 decades, she has participated in more that forty regional and national juried shows and has won more than 20 competitive awards.
