Sarah Waldron has worked as Designer on staff and Art Director for Vandyke Company in Seattle, S&O Consultants, San Francisco and Primo Angeli. She has been a Faculty Member, San Francisco Academy of Art College. Sarah holds a MFA with distinction from San Francisco Academy of Art University and a BFA degree from Washington State University. Her subjects represent graphic elements, texture, movement, color and pattern. She applies the paint in a thick manner and from an angle that makes the paint to create almost relief texture on the surface. Her paintings are abstract and textural at close range, but when the viewer steps back, they materialize as the realistic subject. She describes her art as Abstract and Impressionist Realism. She likes to think she’s giving the viewer a chance to enjoy two painting styles in one - Impressionist and Realism Abstract. Her paintings are on Television sets such HBO series, and are in private and corporate collections throughout North America. She believes an artist’s approach and style to their work come from the artist’s history. What keeps her fascinated is to portray a fleeting moment in nature which she does by finding a unique view of natural elements. Spending time in nature is part of her history and how she begins each working day as a painter. She produces art in a variety of options including framed Sarah Waldron art which many collectors and buyers prefer. In 2011, she was selected through The Alfred and Trafford Klots Program for Artists to participate in a 5-week Residency through the Maryland Institute College of Art.
