Lily van Bienen Art

Lily van Bienen was born in Russia but she currently lives and works in France. She’s held numerous exhibitions in Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain, and her pieces of art are in private collections in South Africa, Italy, Switzerland, Serbia, Germany, the USA, Netherlands, Russia, and France. Lily’s works of art radiate joy of life and happiness and are filled with positive feelings. For as long as she can remember, Lily has always had a romance with flowers. The artist was first fascinated by the pieces of flower embroidery that her father brought from China. Lily then fell in love with clothes that were flower-embroidered, either ready-made or decorated by herself or her mother, to silk flowers which she collected from all over the world. She also fell in love with fresh flowers, more so, the tulips having their own life stories and living their own lives. Lily is a graduate of the New York Art Students' League where she was a student of Gary Jenkins and Frank Janca. She also graduated with distinction from Moscow Linguistic University. She finds her inspiration from flowers that stand out from the crowd and which tell us their story. Artist Lily finds joy in painting expressive, colorful and large floral portraits. Framed Lily van Bienen art has become a very common feature in many homes and art institutions and galleries. After graduation, she had a good career in the television industry of the former USSR representing European companies. She speaks 5 languages fluently and there are a few others that she speaks a little bit.
