Born in Los Angeles, Heather Taylor displays an inherently inconceivable California-cool aptitude and complexity that inspires the businesswoman of today, and inner artist in everyone. Heather has been knitting and weaving for many years, so she has actually been designing handmade textiles since she learned to knit more than twelve years ago. She also loves setting a beautiful table and entertaining but she couldn't find linens she loved without traveling to some far place. She decided that she would start her own line, using inspiration from traditional textiles she had collected on her travels. The first time Heather thought about having a product line was when she was ten years old. She was really into making jewelry at that time so together with a couple of friends they started a business called “The Jewelry Club.” She’s extremely inspired by the community of creative and hard-working young women in Los Angeles. Many of her friends are so devoted to their craft and that keeps her me motivated. She’s inspired by women who are leading in their industries, such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Katherine Graham, and Martha Stewart. Heather is also inspired by beautiful plants, flowers, and things she finds in nature. Currently, she’s the creative director and co-owner of a contemporary art gallery in Culver City called Taylor De Cordoba. The framed Heather Taylor art she produces are in great demand. Heather is also the creative multi-talented force behind the L.A. in Bloom, a beloved lifestyle blog through which she shares her experiences with her readers.
