Framed Surma & Guillen Prints

Agata Surma and Hector Guillen embarked on their shared artistic voyage shortly after they first met in 2011 in Panama City, Panama. Surma came to Panama after earning both a Batchelor of Arts and Science degrees from UC Berkley, as well as a Masters Degree from Cambridge University in International Development. Guillen graduated from Universidad Latina, Panama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Publicity. Surma and Guillen’s recent body of artwork “explores experiences between individually embodied life, mythological divinity and our connection to the infinite.” Their Yoga/Meditation and Animal Series are both inspired by the indigenous cultures of the rainforest, notions of life and death, shamanism, and ayahuasca visions. Surma and Guillen’s use of intricate patterns, vivid colors, photographic studies, and bold graphics bring visual impact to every piece.
