Eugen Stross Art

Eugen Stross (Born 1954) is an artist who received his first training in textile design. Born in Salzburg, the artist later worked in Munich for a couple of years after completing his first training. Stross has more than 30 years of experience as a painter, designer, author, and illustrator. He basically authors books for children. Stross has a great approach to creating his compositions and prefers to use strong color palette. He captures a number of subjects, capturing unique abstracts, animal portraits, and minimalistic landscapes. Stross ensures that every art piece that he creates has his own signature atmospheric color mixes and presented in themes that are definitive of his own work. From his authorship, he's earned "Book of the month" Award by the German Academy for Literature for Children and Young People. Besides his authorship awards he's also received a gold and silver medal, issued by Graphic Club Stuttgart, earned as a result of his "Avant Art" calendars. His many books have grown in readership and have even been translated into other languages, including Norwegian, Dutch, Korean, and Italian languages. His art are sold through several licensed publishing firms, selling different art pieces, including cartoon postcards and calendars. Stross got married in 1975 and has 2 children out of his marriage. He currently lives close to Munich where he still continues creating art. As he continues to make his artistic works, they are also exhibited through several galleries and mounted in various global collections.
