Andrea Stajan-Ferkul is a painter who’s had love for color for as long as her memory can allow. Her post-secondary education started with Fashion Design, although she later graduated from Sheridan College School of Art and Design's Interpretive Illustration program. Stajan-Ferkul never focuses on a particular subject matter but instead jumps from one to another based on her feelings at a given time. Stajan-Ferkul got influenced by her children, particularly when they were still young. Her relationship with her children broadened her artistic perspective and enabled her to see things through their eyes. It's during this period that she got deeper into painting, with her children’s influence becoming an important part of her expression. Stajan-Ferkul experimented with mixed media, textures, and backgrounds as she defined her artistic style. She has participated in numerous exhibitions across Canada and other parts of North America.
