E.A. Seguy Art

E.A. Seguy was born in Paris where he was also raised up. His ceaseless work ethic and discipline strongly influenced his approach to his work. Seguy said that an artwork needs to have harmony, balance, rhythm, a spark of magic and life for it to be appreciated by the viewers. He was a designer and an artist active who was active during the first 3 decades of the 20th century. Not very much is known about him, even his actual birth/death dates and name are in dispute. His art is widely represented in private, corporate and museum collections throughout France and overseas. He chose to create pieces of art that are non-objective because he found them sincere and gratifying. The artist sought a balance of an order and energy, among chaos. His art is mainly found in the collection of The Walter Havighurst Special Collections, but they are also available in many other leading collections. His art came to life through various combined elements, and sometimes through a little bit of magic. He produced 11 albums of patterns and nature themed illustrations, drawing inspiration from, foliage, flowers, animals, crystals and papillons and other insects. A drawn line, a splash of color, and a pattern, all fuse into a captivating visual language. He continuously gave and took that swing between the breaking point and equilibrium. Framed E.A. Seguy art has come to be a common sight on many walls around the globe. His art still do well in he market today, and the demand is ever growing.
