Anne Seay was born and raised in North Carolina. She can’t remember when she started working on art. Ever since she was walking, she was drawing and she can't remember a life without creating. She has experimented with all mediums of art but currently she’s doing a lot of work with acrylic paintings. She likes this medium for its flexibility and ease of use. It is also durable and does not fade easily. She considers her art to be abstracted realism; a look into how she sees the world. She likes to illustrate the world and images around her in an expressionistic way. The contours, colors and hues she sees she wants to share in her art. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina, but considers herself to be self-taught. So far, her career as an artist has involved selling commissioned work to customers through referrals and through the internet, and her normal gift for portraits are the bestselling pieces but Anne wants to take a venture past portraits. Currently, she lives and works at home with her family in North Carolina (Wilmington), with her two beautiful girls, her husband, and a cranky dachshund.
