Diane Romanello (Born 1944) is an American painter whose main subjects are romantic landscapes and surrealistic scenes expressed in a realistic style, although she adds some whimsy at times. She prefers creating art that sparks emotions, capturing scenes around her own yard. Romanello’s life in Florida exposed her to beautiful tropical scenes and beaches that inspired her to keep their accounts of such views through art. Her creative paintings opened doors for her, seeing her win contracts from big companies such as Equitable Life Insurance and AT&T. Romanello creates triptych and Giclee art, besides her famous standalone artwork. She owns a studio in Long Island, from where she creates and sells her works. However, she creates most of her art in Florida. Romanello has remained consistent in her work and is a strong supporter of organizations that champion certain causes, including AIDS related charitable programs. She donated one of her oil paintings to United Way of Long Island and another to The McGraw Foundation for charitable causes. As a way to share the efforts she puts in her works with viewers, Romanello intentionally leaves specific brushstrokes in every piece she creates. Instead of group exhibitions, she prefers running solo exhibitions. These solo exhibitions are always sold out. Romanello’s pieces have been taken in by both corporate and private collections and have been generally well received. She strives to capture moments and scenes that many ignore, yet she artistically delivers them in a manner that provides sanctuary to viewers. Romanello’s main medium is oil, which she uses on canvas. Framed Diane Romanello art have become famous for interior decoration and are thus availed in different galleries.
