Artist Thomas Riker creates ready to hang framed canvas paintings, trompe l’oiel, decorative designs and murals that stand alone for their timeless style and quality. The quality of his work can be attributed to the fact that he’s a graduate of Northern Arizona University, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication, of Northern Arizona University where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts specializing in Visual Communication. He combines robust colors, composition and form with an aim of expanding the limits of his clients’ imagination, while at the same time ensuring that the finished product retains its integrity in the owner’s home. Currently his art adorn the walls of many homes, institutions, galleries and museums. His paintings not only vary in subject matter but they also vary in size and media. Framed Thomas Riker art can be found in several collections all over the world. Riker draws upon his knowledge of art history and classical design to convey a finished work of art that fashions a “soul” for the home. Riker works mostly in high end residential homes with independent interior designers nationwide and with interior designers from Robb and Stucky Design Studio. His works have been showcased in magazines such as Arizona Foothills, Arizona Lifestyles, and Phoenix Home & Garden. In television, his work has been featured in “Sonoran Living” on ABC and in “Cool Homes” on NBC. Rika’s work can also be found in Phoenix Home and Garden magazine in their May 2008 issue. The work is in the "Idea File" of the magazine. It is a combination trompe l' ioel and mural piece for a house in North Scottsdale.
