Although she loved art since her childhood, it was not until her mid-30s that she became a painter. She began art simply as experimentation and enjoyment, but it has become her lively career with placements in homes from Florida to Hawaii and abroad, as well as corporate collections such as UBS of Nashville and Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. She says that happiness, not painting, is actually her work, and so her work tends to reflect a contemplation of life through a camera that has been sharpened by motherhood, maturity, and lengthy relationship with others.
