Janet Pidoux Art

Janet Pidoux was born in Penn, Buckinghamshire and lives in England in the scenic Cotswolds. She has been painting for more than 3 decades and her favorite subject is feline art, which often features her own cats. She uses pastel, and loves the soft effect which can be achieved using this medium. Janet she aims to capture the individual personalities of her subjects and give them a life of their own. She’s a member of the Society of Feline Artists and of the Society of Women Artists. She has also exhibited with the Society of Wildlife Artists and the Pastel Society at the Mall Galleries in London. She started with watercolor miniatures of flowers and wildlife, but has finally settled on pastel. For her outstanding set of Feline Art, she won the prestigious Alexander Llewelyn Award. Her work can be found in numerous corporate and private collections worldwide and has been reproduced on a wide variety of stationery and giftware products. Her art are mainly availed as framed Janet Pidoux art, though other finishing options are also available. More recently she has been working with merchandising companies to produce images for their products, including tea towels for McCaw Allan, tins for Elite Giftboxes, stationary and mugs for Padblocks, and various household items for Booth Design. She happily accepts commissions. She’s not interested in mindful, heavy concepts - she simplifies things and lets the elements combine in the head and react with each other to bring a perfect balance in her art. She enjoys painting most subjects, her favorite being feline art which often features her own cats.
