Katie Pertiet is a fine art artist known for her creative pieces that combine diverse textures, colors, text, patterns, and antique engravings. She has more than 20 years of experience as a graphic designer. Katie has been able to maintain her consistency since she owns a home studio, from where she can create her artwork peacefully. The studio is a blend of old and new stuff, giving a similar picture to her artistic works. She doesn't limit her creativity and tools, having vintage books, brushes, and paints together with her Macintosh computer in the same working space. Katie’s creative pieces are made mainly using mixed media and are exhibited on diverse national and international platforms. She covers a variety of subjects and is known to bring in fading text as part of her pieces, delivering a vintage look and combining it with modern elements to create a completely new and unique art. A few of her subjects are plants, flowers, and butterflies. Katie has a unique understanding of color that makes all her artwork pieces connected in a way while at the same time making them easily distinguishable. Her works are sold widely, with many galleries and art dealers selling framed Katie Pertiet art that have been made ready for installation. She currently resides in Maryland.
