Monte Nagler took photography seriously after studying with Ansel Adams. He now uses photography to express his feelings, something he says other photographers should also do. His creative photographs have been widely displayed in diverse locations and are found in many private and public collections including the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Dayton Art Institute,
University of Michigan Museum of Art, Grand Rapids Art Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, The Ford Motor Company, the Center for Creative Photography in Tuscon, Diamler Chrysler Corporation, Nikon International, BASF Corporation, General Motors Corporation, General Electric Corporation, IBM Detroit, Compuware, and many more. Agents and galleries throughout the country also represent his photography. Nagler has worked on several projects that have found their way into a number of high profile corporate and private companies. He has several photographs to his name and has widely sold them to a number of individuals and companies. Because of the high demand for his photographs, several galleries stock ready to mount framed Monte Nagler art while others are availed in a variety of other finishing options.
Monte is a noted writer who has written three books on photography including Statements of Light, How To Improve Your Photographic Vision, and Monte Nagler's Michigan. He is also a lecturer and teacher of photography. The State of Michigan House and Senate have honored him with proclamations for his contributions to fine art photography. Monte has conducted many classes and seminars throughout the states and has often been called upon to judge contests and to speak on photography topics on local radio and television shows.
