Dario Moschetta was born in a small town near Treviso, Italy called Castelfranco Veneto. He lives and works in Castelfranco Veneto, near Venice, in Italy. He’s an artist who loves to experiment. He likes materials such as acrylic paint and canvas and paper, and he likes to mix them in unusual ways, mixing color paper and glue and then bond them with the canvas. Moschetta likes people and their bodies. He loves painting towns, especially the busy life in the metropolis. He was born in the same place as Giorgione, the Renaissance painter who greatly influenced his work. His job is to make paintings in acrylic, his medium of choice. He has been experimenting with various styles and techniques that he personally developed. In one of the styles, he applies several layers of paper and tears them in a controlled manner. This helps him to get an irregular surface, just like in movie posters that can be seen in the street - the big city skyline in general. He wants his finished works to resemble the posters seen on the street - torn and worn out by time. His finished works are usually uneven to the touch, irregular and rough. Apart from brushes of medium size, he also uses spray water, knives, spatulas, rags, sandpaper, and step on the surface. Moschetta also does nudes and portraits in large sizes.
