Golie Miamee is a born traveler and she loves to photograph and capture what she see and experiences in her journeys around the world. She’s a visual artist who uses a photograph as her canvas and digital editing as the main medium. Her adventures started when she was just one month old. Her parents went with her on a trip to Iran where she spent the first ten years of her life and it is in Iran that she discovered her interest in art at the age of eight. Her passion for travel and love for photography have allowed her to capture memorable moments of culture, people, art, nature, places, and much more. Most people leave behind a legacy through their life success and validate their accomplishments In Golie’s case, however, as she was not granted that option, and she has no children to leave behind to her stories, her name, carry her legacy, her rich experiences, and stories. But she says that she’s granted with a gift to interpret what she sees and who she is into her art. Therefore, she considers her art as the legacy and gift that she can leave behind to allow other to enjoy, hear her stories through and see what she sees and wants to share with the world.
