Amy Melious is an artist who got fascinated with photography when she was still young. Photography provided her with a form of expression and observation. She knew back then that art would definitely form an important part of her life. From the look of her many photos that she's captured for the past 20 years or so, she can see a clear picture of the things she's done, places she's been to, and the people she's interacted with in her life. Something about her photography life is that it provides inspiration to surge forward as she gets curious of what to do next and what her next subject is going to be. Some of her subjects are flowers, human spirit, landscapes, and still life. To get the best of any subject, Amy ensures that the process of capturing every image is given much thought. As such, she’s able to capture every subject properly and take it through thorough refinement process to get an appealing final photo. Amy follows three important steps, which are first becoming a witness, then a participant before finally working as a craftsperson to get the final photo she needs. As a result of her dedication and thoughtfulness, every artwork becomes to her a way to learn, celebrate, and give back. As for her, photography has become her way of life and how she puts bread on the table.
