James McLoughlin Art

James McLoughlin has been an artist since his childhood and at a young age; he could bee seen reading art books. He knew he would become a professional artist; a dream that has come to pass. His commercial work has covered an innumerable subject matter including shooting cargo ships for international shipping corporations, super models for fashion and beauty layouts, and with all, he incorporated his unique approach and style. His photography has been influenced by immortals, such as Ansel Adams, Alfred Stieglitz, Irving Penn and Phillipe Halsman. He studied photography at Rochester Institute of Technology. When he was done with his studies, he opened a studio in Manhattan and had for over 20 years, photographed editorial and advertising campaigns for quite a number of magazines and design firms, national and international corporations, and advertising agencies. Today he conducts his own exploration of photography. He uses high quality materials to produce his art, and that’s why his art have high price tags on them. Although his professional career focused more on the commercial side of photography, he had never lost spectacle of the art of the medium, and the photographic explorations of those who inspired him to become a photographer. His work has been published in nearly all leading newspapers, magazines and other publications all over the world; and his work is also available as framed James McLoughlin art. McLoughlin has been the recipient of many awards in the Advertising Industry; which include several Andy’s, CA’s Clio’s, and One Show awards. McLoughlin loves to read and he travels a lot to get inspiration for his art.
