Kathleen Parr McKenna has been creating artwork and designs for over 35 years and it has always been fun. She’s been recognized for her attention to detail and for her responsiveness to the needs of her clients. Her product development skills and her close attention to trends have brought the companies she licenses with and herself the superior sales and recognition. Kathleen has licensed with more than 100 companies in her more than 20 year career. She’s therefore considered to be a leading painter and designer and stays true to herself and to expressing the excellence and excitement of using watercolor in painting. Even though watercolor has been considered by many to be the hardest media to work in, this artist mastered it explicitly and she’s been considered by some as the “guru” of watercolor. She has presented lectures and workshops in watercolor painting and for many years she’s held lessons in her studios annually for enthused watercolorists. Kathleen studied at The Interlochen Arts Academy, and holds degrees from The American Academy of Art and Lake Michigan College in Chicago. She loves to paint with watercolors and also loves her career saying it’s a career and a job that is never tedious to her, but is always satisfying, rewarding and fulfilling. She has her private collection and her art is also in many corporate collections in various parts of the country. Kathleen has presented lectures and workshops in watercolor painting and has also held lessons annually for enthused watercolorists for several years her studios.
