Alan Mazzetti Art

Alan Mazzetti learned to express himself and think visually at an early age. He was born and raised up in an artistic family. His brother was a product designer and his mother was a painter. Therefore at that young age surrounded by his brother’s product design and his mother’s paintings; the production and making of art came naturally to him. In fact, the house in which they lived was also designed by his father. An early fascination with combinations of imagery and text, paper ephemera, and printing, led Mazzetti to develop his collage style. From his long career in graphics, the artist learned to identify the basic elements of any design. He then translated this knowledge into the subjects he paints, and visualizes the essential form of the subjects. In this approach, Mazzetti believes he becomes more fully aware of the process. He hopes that his interpretation of any subject and personal appreciation of the subjects stimulates a new awareness in those who view his final product. His paintings continue to explore the relationship between abstraction and representation. And he selects subjects from his SF Bay Area environment, an area that’s very rich in both urban and rural imagery. His perspective for this art is from a high vantage distant point that emphasizes the patterns and flatness of the image. He has exhibited in many places, among them The Collector  Berkeley CA, The Studio Shop  Burlingame CA, Spindrift Gallery  Gualala CA, Arc Gallery  SF,  SOMA Open Studios, and Palm Desert CA  Gallery Artists.   Framed Alan Mazzetti art are found in many art stores around the world.
