Wilfrido Limvalencia Art

Wilfrido Limvalencia’s passion for the arts started at a very young age. He earned a business degree, and then he was given the opportunity to manage the family’s apparel and textile business which he did for more than 20 years. In the course of his work, Limvalencia also designed the infant and children's wear lines including embroideries, the original prints, and appliqués. These have been sold in top department stores all over Europe and the United States. Currently he lives and works in Richmond, BC, Canada. He loves painting scenes in his own unique style. In this technique, the art is embellished with sophisticated details but at the same time infused with the charm of 'naïve.' As a self-taught artist with his own style, Limvalencia’s art take the viewers on a journey through scenes of landscapes, pets, people and sea. He uses brilliant colors to create attractive scenes, sometimes with a sense of humor. Limvalencia has received numerous awards including Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival Catalog Art Competition in 2005 which he took the first place; the Wyoming Stamp Art Competition, where he took the 6th position in the Award of Merit in 2005; the B.C. Surrey Art Council’s 2003 'RIVERS' art competition where he took the first place, and many others. Framed Wilfrido Limvalencia art are much sought after by many collectors. The art currently adorn the walls of some of the most prestigious museums, homes, institutions and galleries. He art has been the subject of discussion among many professionals.
