Keith Levit thinks that learning photography is like learning a language. He says that at first one has to think so hard about every word. But eventually, at some point, those very words simply become part of them and roll off their tongue. He adds that after working very hard at it, his art is now part of him – he’s finally fluent. He’s a photographer who’s based in Winnipeg. Levit promotes his business of fine art and commercial photography under the name of Keith Levit Photography. He first picked up a second hand camera a quarter century ago. The years that have followed have seen him creatively pursuing his concept of merging art and photography, in both the color and black-and-white mediums. His limitless passion for photography is evident at his website. His love of travel and adventure has always been coupled to his photography. The photographer couldn't imagine exploring the world without his camera in tow. It’s the camera that motivates him to explore the higher peaks, and to travel long distances in search of subjects that are appealing to his clients. A sunrise or sunset, a child's smile, a landscape, is so much more attractive when he has his camera is by his side. His love of travel and exploration, love for photography, coupled with his honest, profound, sensitive love for people, epitomize images that capture the soul and heart of the most remote and inaccessible regions of the world and the people who inhabit them. The framed Keith Levit art have become a common sight in many buildings around the world.
