Frederick J. LeBlanc works with his clients to improve their artistic and technical photographic skills during photo tours, workshops, and photo cruises off the coast of Maine. He also teaches them in his print studio in South Hadley, Massachusetts. LeBlanc views himself as a photojournalistic storyteller and his current photographic projects include documenting Maine’s historic windjammer fleet, publishing a visual journal called MassWest360 as well as documenting the natural wonders of the New England landscape. LeBlanc has worked as a professional photojournalist for close to 30 years. His editorial and commercial images have appeared regularly in national and regional publications. They have been published on postcards, posters, calendars and most recently as a book. He strives to always stay creative in all that he does. His work has been collected worldwide and the framed Frederick J. LeBlanc art are owned by many clients including celebs. He has had an impressive number of exhibits - both group and one-man exhibits. His enduring passion for wooden, classic sailing vessels has led him, over the last decade, to document these historic sailing vessels as they sail in harmony with the sea and wind. As a way of giving back to his profession, he teaches the art of digital photography. He knows how to choose subjects that appeal to the viewers’ hearts and emotions. The artist believes that photography is a means through which he connects with his viewers. He admires the styles of many different artists like Cezanne, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Manet and Monet. He creates giclée prints in sepia, color, black-and-white, and photo impressions on watercolor papers with archival pigment inks.
