Jin Lau is an aspiring Illustrator and Animator based in Sydney, Australia. He hasn’t been in the arts industry for long yet his art competes well with those of other artists. He has illustrated a few pieces here and there, and animated an ad or two, and he makes zines too. He’s much known for his keenness to detail, something that has earned him the admiration of his fellow artists. In hi works, he captures he little details that can be easily ignored by other artists. He’s also known for completing his projects within the stipulated time and budget. That’s why many clients turn to him whenever they want their projects to be done fast and with many details. Lau never thought too hard on what his work is about but found everything just falling in place naturally. However, themes covering cultural inter-textuality and the inquisition about the grand narrative can be detected if one looks hard enough and squint. He’s open to learning though, and can always be found visiting museums and art galleries to view the works of other artists. He can also be found associating with fellow artist from whom he can learn something to help improve his own art. He’s also a regular participant at art shows and exhibitions where his art has been the center of attraction. Lau has worked on great projects with Optus, Ministry of Sound, Incu, Pilot Pen, Toby & Pete, The Wiggles, Esurance and Murdoch University.
