From a young age, Carolyn Kinnison always wanted to be an artist. She used to draw, paint and sketch on any surface she could come across and using any material she could lay her hands on. She grew up in Michigan, where she fell in love with the lakes and trees in that area. She and Dan, her fabulous husband, have been in marriage for close to 40 years and they have raised 4 great children together. Carolyn has been creating art for more than 20 years, but in the current medium she uses today, she has only taken 5 years. What makes her art work distinctive or unique include colors, design, and medium which always makes her art stand out. Being a self-taught artist, she has invented a unique style that she uses to produce paintings that are highly textured by imprinting quotations and designs into wood or another suitable medium. She changes her style and medium quite often depending on the project at hand. She layers vibrant colors which she applies to the surface to make each piece a one-of-a-kind. Many of her pieces of art are now also available without the wood mount, but all of them have the same print quality. She produces art in a variety of finishing options to increase their collectability.
