Roseanne Jones was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand. Her ability to create a story and give life to her subjects is at times attention-grabbing. She believes that first working as a painter and then as a photographer has given her a unique eye for capturing color and light. She’s a visual artist who has worked in New Zealand all her life and this is where she resides today. From a young age Roseanne knew she was destined to be an artist and most memorable moments were when she received positive reviews for her coloring book activities. Her art has always been inspired more by painters than by photographers. From her childhood, she was fascinated by the techniques of the great masters and she enjoyed their works and the final products. Roseanne is a Kiwi Artist who is self-taught and has experimented with a range of art mediums. Roseanne is known for her vibrant use of color and playful nature of her technique in which she captures the personalities of her subject matter. Over the years, she has learned through gathering inspiration from fashion & decorative art, and from alternative subcultures. Her aim is to help viewers to connect with her work, to enhancing a spirit of calmness, relaxation and beauty. Roseanne has been attracted to her environment and nature since she learnt how to walk, and this is where she gets her inspiration.
