Heather Johnston Art

Heather Johnston is an artist who loved anything with artistic flare since her childhood. She knew that she would one day become an artist. She studied at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London where she developed her unique style of fine art. Heather has a collection dabbed the Flora Collection that explores the themes and sculptural form of movement. Her collectible Fine Art Canvases reinterpret the classic botanical prints of the 18th Century. Heather sells her images either as hand-finished prints or privately as commissioned art works. Her recent work includes the highly popular Les Fleurs the Flora collection and the Fine Art Canvases of the Legumes range. Les Fleurs is a collection of flora canvases referencing the 19th Century botanical prints. She has exhibited in Canada and Europe, and her work is represented in private collections, the Vancouver Art Gallery Sales, the Canada Council Art Bank, and is carried in select galleries. Heather says that flowers are often the most direct and eloquent means of communication as a means of expressing sympathy or of congratulating, as a declaration of love or as a gesture of thanks. She adds that the language of flowers is one of myths and symbols that transcend our social boundaries. Each of Heather’s canvas is lightweight and easy to hang. They are finished with varnish which stabilizes and filters for protection from Ultra Violet light. Framed Heather Johnston art can be found adorning the walls of many homes and institutions all over the world.
