Joadoor Art

Two Dutch artists Hans-Jochem Bakker and Ger Doornink came up with the name Joadoor to label their works. They believe that the ability to examine components of a scene and look beyond what is obvious is a key factor in their art career as well as a very important part of understanding our place in a larger landscape. Hans-Jochem Bakker and Ger Doornink are photographers, painters and conceptual artists. Both are keen to detail and this has enabled them to capture very memorable moments. They work in a Neo-Classical style that covers works of various themes, and the images they create are those from medieval Gothic traditions, traditional Chinese and classical Roman. After working for long in the cities of Tokyo and Milan, Joadoor has now moved back to the Netherlands and they have established a large studio in the heart of Amsterdam where they continue to produce high quality art; including framed Joadoor art. They are most widely known for their captivating images. They attribute their creativity to being exposed to a variety of works by other artists. The artists have a great admiration for nature and are careful when it comes to choosing the subjects. This makes him to capture a wide variety of images that viewers can associate with and are all attractive. Together, they explore classical and ancient art styles and develop contemporary, new images that are distinctively theirs.
