Liz Jardine has one of the most dynamic perspectives as an artist, focusing her art work on fashion, nature and the 1920's. Some of her artistic works are inspired by her fascination with fashion. Liz’s love of travel has also been a great source of inspiration to her, fueling her creativity and stimulating her artistry. She has travelled across Asia and also been on a safari to Kenya. This can be clearly seen in her primitive patterns and Serengeti-inspired colors. Being a great Gustav Klimt fan, her pieces greatly show her adoration for the artist's style and flavor. This can be seen in her rich patterns, exotic textures, and gilded palette. As a child living in New York City, Liz’s senses were heightened by the fantasy, color combinations, light, and whimsy that she witnessed at broadways shows. She was artistically shaped by her environment; following her father, who was also an artist, to different museums every Sunday. Liz learned to appreciate the compositions and brushstrokes that she saw in diverse artwork pieces created by different reputable artists whose works she saw in the museums. As an undergraduate student at the State University of New York, she focused on textile designs and clay forms. While in school, she developed an interest in incorporating fabric into porcelain wall pieces. After her graduation, she became an apprentice at various textile and design studios then later joined a graphic design studio. Liz later became a freelance artist and built a reputation as a skilled concept illustrator and art director. This enabled her to return to watercolors, handling different themes such as landscapes, abstracts, still, and florals. Although she currently uses different media for her art making, she prefers acrylics. Those who would like to have framed Liz Jardine art in their rooms can find them in galleries and art dealerships. Most of these outlets normally stock art that’s ready for installation.
