In the photography community, Katya Horner is best known as "Slight Clutter." She’s a Houston-based professional freelance photographer who’s as comfortable with fine art photography as she is with editorial and commercial work. Her photos have been seen in more than 50 online and print publications, among them the File Magazine, WSJOnline, Florida Coast Living, Common Ground (National Parks Service), Cowboys & Indians Magazine, ArtsHouston Magazine, Downtown Magazine (Houston), and Texas editions of Where Guestbook. Her work is passionate and personal, and it’s always seen through the intimate eye of longing. As a landscape photographer her eyes are drawn to the lyricism of nature. Katya is more interested in interpreting her world than in documenting it. She says she’s just a girl who loves her camera adding that photography has changed her life, and she’s so thankful to be able to make a living doing it. Her landscapes are populated by ethereal horses and winsome deer, by trees that are expressive and by fog that's softer than the moths’ wings. As part of 2010 Fotofest, her work is currently on display at The Methodist Hospital. Her fine art photography has been exhibited locally at the Houston Center for Photography in Houston, Texas; Gallery M2, Houston's City Hall Annex, and The Arts Alliance Center of Clear Lake, Hobby Airport. Today Katya has so many clients ranging from design firms to publishing companies to universities; her work can be seen across the United States in academic institutions, on airport walls, in government lobbies and in hospitals. This kind of exposure has made framed Katya Horner art to be very popular.
