Diane Hoeptner was born and raised up in rural Ohio. In the 80's she decided to move to Los Angeles where she stayed for seventeen years. While in Los Angeles, she completed a BA in Studio Arts at CAL State Northridge and worked as an animator for film and video games, something that she really enjoyed. Diane is renowned for her cat paintings which have been featured in The Artist’s Magazine and the Modern Cat Magazine. Her florals have been distributed as cards and posters by Current INC, American Greetings and Wild Apple Graphics. Diane maintains an art blog that has been rated as one of the top 75 on the internet by Alexa and Blog Rank. The artist currently in Ohio resides (“back home”) with her husband and her cat named Coco. Diane says that there's so much beauty in the world if only people can stop and look. As an artist, she feels the beauty when she paints cats and floral still life. To her there’s comfort associated with both. Diane is amazed by the variety of outcomes that she achieves within still life painting saying that flowers have a wraithlike beauty that both revitalize and reassure her spirit. She sees the same beauty in cats as well, but cats bring in movement and personality. She discovered this when she started painting her own cats that embody snark and sweetness perfectly. Those who love cats usually purchase ready to hang framed Diane Hoeptner art to decorate their walls/rooms. Diane is influenced by her own inner drive which requires constant feeding.
