Carolyne Hawley resides on a small ranch near Palm Springs in the high desert where she rides her horse, paints in her studio, and teaches workshops in the area. Carolyne migrated to Southern California with her young family and settled in this area. She was born in the heartland of America and was raised on a rural farm outside Chicago, Illinois. Primarily a self-taught artist, Carolyne is known for animals and portraits. She began establishing her future as a renowned equine artist at a very young age and horses in particular captured her artistic interest. Framed Carolyne Hawley art continue to cause a lot of excitement among upcoming and established artists. They are both attractive and inspiring. She began with sketches and with time progressed to oils. She has received numerous commissions including: Palm Springs City Hall; paintings of Sonny Bono and Ronald Reagan, Darr Eye Clinic in Palm Desert, murals at Indian Wells City Hall, Leanin’ Tree Greeting Cards, Boulder, CO, Bruce McGaw Graphics poster reproductions, World Art Group, Simply Home, Thirsty Stone, and Buy Carolyne Hawley Murals. She has continued to pursue her artistic talents, and has honed her skills on the powerful representation and interpretations of horses for which she is known. Carolyn has accumulated acclaim for collection of Western influence paintings. She attributes a major artistic influence to a founder of the Laguna Arts Pageant, the late Burt Proctor, and to Donald ‘Putt’ Puttman, Emily Touraine, Neil Boyle, Ron McKee, and Martha Sauduk under whom she studied.
