Sophie Harding Art

Sophie Harding was the elder sibling in a family of seven children. She was brought up in Southern England in Swanage. As a young child Sophie loved knitting, sewing, drawing and painting and immersing herself in a creative world of her own making. Her talent in the arts was discovered at an early age and she was encouraged to take up art as a career by her teachers and both sides of her family who were also very artistic. Sophie made London her home for more than 10 years before she moved to the coast. She holds a diploma in General Art and Design and also a Bachelor of Arts Hons degree in Textiles and Fashion from Central St. Martins. While in college, she interacted with many professional artists who influenced her work. Her training also encouraged her to use many different types of artistic media in her work. She managed to get a job in New York for 3 months, working as a textile designer. She has an interest in the world of fine art prints, and is a particular follower of naive art. Sophie is now a successful illustrator of magazines and children's books, greetings cards, calendars, giftwrap, tableware, diaries, and textile designs. Framed Sophie Harding art are also among her products. She travels extensively and her interests include gardening, socializing, camping, painting and cooking. She gets much inspiration from her travels, especially from the people she interacts with during these travels. Being outgoing, she has managed to attract a huge following of fans.
