Eric Gillett is a graduate of Brigham Young University. Gillett began working with Adrian Parry Design before he joined BYU. He graduated in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in graphic design. Gillett loved art from a young age and knew that at one time he would become an artist. Today he is a professional graphic artist whose work can be found in almost all corners of the world. Gillett taught part-time at both BYU and the University of Utah. In 1994, Gillett started working with Toolbox Creative Services and was worked there until he became a full-time faculty member at BYU in 1998. His originality was triggered by his keen observation of nature mixed with his urge to explore media. Gillett boasts a happy and bold personality. He seeks to transmit his feelings to others through his art. His contributions in art are reckoned with and he’s widely respected for his works. His art covers many different themes. He is a faithful visitor of museums and galleries and embraced diverse art making approaches. His creative pieces have been widely displayed in diverse locations. Even while employing other known styles in art making, he is known to bring a unique angle to arts through his creativity. He has worked on several collaborative projects with his fellow professors such as Brent Barson, Linda Sullivan, Mark Graham, and Heather B. Jensen. Framed Eric Gillett art have found their way into a number of high profile corporate and private companies. In 2014, he initiated the Ultra Violet project and was featured in Creative Quarterly in the Professional Fine Art Category which he won.
