Since he made that decision, he has been designing and creating attractive pieces over the years. Gassenheimer uses pencil, acrylic, pastel, and watercolors. Gassenheimer plays with colors to balance his compositions and add to them some warmth and beauty. Each of his artwork contains groups of well selected objects that are arranged in various compositions playing on the weight and balance of each element. It is through this combination of materials and compositional elements that he strives for beauty, strength, and balance. He enjoys a very intimate creative process where he handles and manipulates the materials in a creative way. He has been working on high-quality reproductions of original pencil drawings from “Hollywood Dreams” series. The scenes have been imagined by him and are set between 1989 and 1995. The images he produces evoke a sense of a contemplative mood, tranquility, and timelessness. Gassenheimer creates his artwork from observation and he believes that his artwork can inspire upcoming artists to take pride in their talent. The creativity with his medium allows him to create pieces that represent his intentions most accurately.
