Marie Frederique was born in Papua New Guinea. Her passion for art began as a child, and came into bud through college and now into her professional life. Marie was raised in Southern Africa and was educated in England. Marie uses a unique approach which is simple and she relies on that simplicity and on patterns to induce a viewing experience that’s emotional. She intersects life with living to enrich viewers with a beautiful world painted just for them. Viewers can get a feel for some of the styles and artists that have influenced her work by looking through some of her favorite artists. Marie has taken mixed media to a wonderful new dimension, always developing fresh techniques of texture and coloring. She has an uplifting style and exudes a sense of exoteric suspense that grabs and keeps the undivided attention of the viewer. Marie’s typical approach is to look for simple elements and patterns to include in her art. She creates art that’s attractive and involves the viewer by bringing out the artist in each of the viewer. Marie considers herself as being “reborn” each time a new experience and culture touches her life, and it is that unique kind of exposure that makes her art radiate both originality and magnificence. She has developing new techniques beyond the traditional methods of coloring and texture. This has made her art to be easily recognizable.
