Harrison Fisher (Born 1875) is known for his paintings of beautiful girls. He was born in an artistic family and both his father and grandfather were artists. In fact he got his early trainings in the arts from his father who taught him how to sketch and paint. He showed early passion and promise and he excelled at drawing from the age of 6, and as a teenager, he sold illustrations to local newspapers. Coupled with his natural talent and his father’s training, he joined the Mark Hopkins Institute of Art while still young. Soon, his works were being published by a popular national magazine Judge; those commissions that he got early in his career brought him to the notice of the San Francisco Call, and eventually, Fisher was hired as a staff artist where his duties included illustrating news items and drawing sporting meets and society functions. After a few years, he was accepted at the San Francisco Examiner. This is the largest newspaper in Randolph Hearst William’s stable, and, here, he sketched news events exclusively. At the age of 22, he was given a requested transfer to New York American of William Hearst. Barely two weeks later, the artist got a joined job as illustrator and in-house cartoonist for the extremely famous Puck Magazine. He produced many pieces of art in a variety of finishing options including framed Harrison Fisher art. His career was blossoming with recognition from all those who came into contact with his art. His reputation grew very much and he enjoyed the recognition from Puck and the Examiner.
