Carrie Fell uses her art to tell the familiar stories of the West. These stories include those of cowboys, cowgirls, horses and the never-ending sky. With bold color and deft drawing, Carrie imparts feeling and life to her normally faceless subjects, from cowgirls to longhorns. She has worked as a professional for more than 20 years. During this time, she has exhibited her work nationally through several high-status fine art galleries and has achieved both corporate and private collector acknowledgment. Carrie is an artist who, by presenting western subjects in new ways, expands the traditional boundaries of western art. A native of Denver, she studied interior design in college and her use of negative space, line and color reflects this early training. The artist works in a variety of media and produces limited edition prints and original paintings. Since 1985, she has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, achieving recognition from both public and private collectors. She’s active in many charitable organizations and established a creative residency program called “Significance of Self.” This is designed to promote young people in their expression through art. Her art is held in museum and corporate collections all over the world including Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Arizona and Booth Western Art Museum in Georgia, among others. Framed Carrie Fell art are easy to recognize because of their uniqueness. The artist is generous and her art hangs in the collections of institutions, corporations and individuals throughout North America and abroad. Her painting is in the permanent collection of the Booth Western Art Museum since 2007.
