Valorie Evers-Wenk was interested in art since she was a kid. Whatever free time she had, she always occupied herself with art. She could paint, fashion dandelion necklaces, build snow forts, draw or make mud pies. Valorie was lucky that she spent her childhood surrounded by many art-loving people who noticed her talent and encouraged her to pursue her interest in art. She enjoyed her schooling until she reached 7th grade where she got tired dealing with algebra. She wondered why anyone would willingly subject themselves to such mathematical problems. She went through it, though. She then went to high school then to college. After completing her studies, she met, fell in love and married Rich. Ironically, Rich liked and still likes mathematics; he keeps trying to convince Valorie that computers will simplify her life. Valorie is now a professional artist who captures a rich sense of image and color in what she paints. Growing up in a rural setting gave her a vast array of wonderful memories from which to draw. From fabric to rugs, wallpaper to dinnerware, this award winning artist’s welcoming and warm style brings a sense of peace and joy to viewers’ heart and home through her prints, paintings, and wide variety of fine home decor products. Her work has been published as fine art prints, as greeting cards, and as posters.
