Erik Roelofs is a freelance photographer with several years of experience in flight photography. This includes flight hours on a variety of helicopters and aircraft, including HC-130P Combat King, UH-1H Iroquois, B-52H Stratofortress, F-4E Phantom II, the F-16D Fighting Falcon, Mi-24V Hind, HH-60G Pave Hawk, PC-7 Turbo Trainer, and several other types of aircraft. He’s an experienced Aviation Photographer and Aviation Correspondent who serves clients from all over the world. Combining a career in commercial photography, natural talent, a perfectionist’s work ethic, and several years in the university, and with the finest materials, Roelofs, nonetheless, believes that his photographs are a pale imitation of what mankind has been gifted with. He has been a freelance photographer since 2000 and this experience and given him the opportunity to meet and serve some of the esteemed clients around the globe. His images can be seen in publications such as Combat Aircraft, Air Forces Monthly, Aeronautica and Difesa (Italy), Pacific Wings, Aeronautika (Croatia), JWings (Japan), Cockpit (Austria, Switzerland and Germany), Lotnictwo (Poland), PTISI (Greece), among others. His art has captured hearts of many around the globe, and they have found their way into collections in almost every country in the world. Roelofs continues to produce his art mainly as framed Erik Roelofs art. His art is also available in many online stores. His photography is used to illustrate his own aviation books and publications of several known authors. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Communication Systems from HU University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Utrecht) Utrecht (1993 – 2001).
