Award winning artist and illustrator Michael C. Dudash (Born in 1952) was born in Mankato, Minnesota. He has been in the art business for more than 20 years and has won national and international reputation by creating oil paintings that many have described as "images of spectacular realism that are immersed in a wonderful mix of romantic atmosphere, hidden shadows and light.” Dudash has won numerous awards from How magazine, Communication Arts, the Society of Publication Designers, and the Society of Illustrators (NYC) - he has also written and published articles for Step-by-Step Graphics, Artists magazine, and American Artist magazine. Dudash’s career as a successful artist began when he was 25 years old; that’s when he decided to become a full time oil painter and illustrator. He has since done so many gallery paintings, commissions and assignments that he has lost count. Framed Michael C. Dudash art can be seen in many buildings all over the world. Some of his clients include the United States Postal Service, the United Nations, Warner Bros., NBC, Eddie Bauer, Time/Life, Bantam/Doubleday/Dell, Good Housekeeping, The Reader's Digest and AT&T. His original paintings are also owned by some prominent individuals/companies such as Philip Morris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eddie Bauer, MGM/United Artists Disney Studios, and the Gene Autrey Museum of Western Art. Dudash started training as a fine artist but this was interrupted by a job offer by McGraw-Hill Publishing Company as a staff member, an offer that he accepted and it’s what catapulted him into a very successful career as a freelance.
