Sue Clyne is a self-taught fantasy artist from England. She lives in her dream world painting every day. Sue is obsessed with painting and can’t be away from her easel for a long time for fear of living too long in the normal world. She started by using watercolors but today uses acrylic paints as it works best for her. She doesn’t sketch; she’s straight on the canvas and a crazy imagination. Her work has been in magazines in America and UK. She loves to paint on large canvases in fact her the bigger the canvas the better, she loves to fill canvas with color. Those who admire characters such as Inanna, The Morrigan, Brighid, Freyja, Blodeuedd, Nyx, Luna, Morgana LeFey, and The Green Man etc, will enjoy the work of Sue. Admires of gothic art, Celtic arts, dark fantasy, mermaid art, wiccan art, and pagan art will also be drawn to Sue’s art for its unique style. Sue admires the works of Brian Froud, who is known for his much loved art books and the late Susan Seddon Boulet the Francisco Bay area artist. It’s always been Sue’s dream to have her art in her own book, just as it has always been her dream to paint. That’s why she published a book called “Dreams of Art.” The book has ninety images of her art taking the viewer through the early stages to where she is now. With full color pages of art, viewers can’t help but be inspired. Today, framed Sue Clyne art are found in many collections and they are highly valued by many collectors.
